Doctor Who prop auction sells screen-used Dalek and TARDIS
Doctor Who is on a break until the Christmas special in December, with the last episode airing in May 2025. A large auction of props and costumes has just ended, offering a screen-used TARDIS, multiple sonic screwdrivers and a full Dalek. The screen-used TARDIS from the 2022 New Year special "Eve of the Daleks", which featured Jodie Whittaker, sold for £6,930 (about $9,325).
The prop was notably covered in cracks. A Bronze Asylum Dalek fetched £53,550 ($72,060). It was used in every episode featuring the creatures since 2012 and is made of wood, resin, rubber and metal, mounted on wheels; it was the auctions top seller, earning almost five times the next priciest item, a life-sized light-up Cyberman statue previously on display at the Doctor Who Experience.
Other notable sales included the 10th Doctors rehearsal sonic screwdrivers for £4,410 ($5,934) and one of the 11th Doctors bowties for £8,190 ($11,020).
