Kotaku reports that Martina Radwan, director of the One Last Adventure documentary about the making of Stranger Things season 5, told The Hollywood Reporter she did not witness the Duffer Brothers using ChatGPT to write the finale.

The genAI accusations began after a frame in Radwan’s film that some fans say showed a ChatGPT tab open in a browser while the Duffers worked on scripts. In the interview Radwan questioned whether anyone had actually proved the tab was open, asked "doesn't everybody have it open, to just do quick research?" and said, "I witnessed creative exchanges. I witnessed conversation," describing the writers room as story development rather than people literally typing out pages.

Radwan remains adamant she did not see the chatbot being used to write the script, but her remarks have not ended the debate: as she noted, "nobody has actually proved that it was open," and speculation among some fans continues despite her comments.
