Donnarumma's agent opens door to Serie A return despite Man City move
According to Goal, Enzo Raiola has admitted that Italy captain Gianluigi Donnarumma would "seize" the chance to return to Serie A even though he only joined Manchester City six months ago.
Raiola told Italian broadcaster Rai that Donnarumma is finding "serenity" at Manchester City, likes the project and is "starting to understand the English championship", but that a move back to Italy would be taken if the opportunity arose. The goalkeeper completed his move from Paris Saint-Germain last summer; City paid a reported €35m fee and the five-year deal runs until June 30, 2030. Calciomercato reports the contract guarantees roughly €80m in fixed wages, starting at about €15m net per season and rising to €18m net by 2029–30, with an option to extend to 2031 at €19m, and add-ons worth around €3m per season described as a goalkeeper "goal bonus" for clean sheets.
Raiola's comments have put Juventus and Inter on alert despite the prohibitive financial reality for Italian clubs. While the report says a January or even summer 2026 move would be widely optimistic, it adds that if City’s dominance wavers or Donnarumma prioritises lifestyle over his current package, the Italian giants would be waiting.
