Dorinda Medley to join E! reboot after Jill Zarin’s firing
Dorinda Medley is set to join E!’s reboot of The Real Housewives of New York, appearing in the network’s new series The Golden Life after cast member Jill Zarin was removed from the project before cameras rolled over remarks about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
E! had been assembling the revival with original cast members including Zarin, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer. Medley, who starred on six seasons of the show, had long been expected to be part of the project, and the network had planned to announce her role closer to the premiere.
Zarin posted a video saying, “We all agree — it was the worst halftime show ever. It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.” She also said the performance “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing.” On Tuesday E!
