According to Collider, Apple TV’s Drops of God is rapidly climbing the platform’s Top 10 list and gaining on Pluribus, which has dominated both the cultural conversation and Apple TV’s streaming charts since its release. Both shows, however, remain behind the Idris Elba-led action thriller Hijack, which currently holds the platform’s top spot.

The piece says Drops of God is ranking high in markets including Australia and Denmark and even took the No. 1 spot in Micronesia for two weeks, according to FlixPatrol. The tri‑lingual series spans France, America and Japan and blends family drama with an intense focus on wine: after the death of revered enthusiast Alexandre Léger, his estranged daughter Camille (Fleur Geffrier) must win a series of blind tastings against Alexandre’s protege Issei Tomine (Tomohisa Yamashita) to claim a wine collection valued at $150 million.

Season 1 holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the show benefits from wine consultant Sébastien Pradal’s involvement; Pradal told Nerdist, "I was so lucky to be involved in this adventure. I’m a sommelier, and I work in a restaurant.
