Dua Lipa hypes Team USA women ahead of 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics
Dua Lipa said she’s ready for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and will be cheering on Team USA’s women when the Winter Games kick off in February, according to an NBC Sports featurette. In the video, the three-time Grammy winner walks through Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II as her 2024 song “Training Season” plays in the background.
“Milan — such a cool place, and when the Winter Olympics arrive, it'll get even cooler when these incredible women take the world stage,” the singer said in the clip. Lipa name-checked four U.S. athletes viewers should watch: skier Lindsey Vonn as “fearless,” figure skater Alysa Liu as “graceful,” skier Mikaela Shiffrin as “historic,” and snowboarder Chloe Kim as “levitating,” a nod to Lipa’s 2020 hit “Levitating.” “They'll put on quite a show,” the singer predicted.
“The Winter Olympics? It's gonna be so cool.” All four athletes are hoping to win gold in their respective events. Lindsey Vonn came out of retirement for another Olympic bid and, when she competes in the downhill, will become the oldest female Alpine skier to compete in the Olympics, NBC noted.
In a January 2026 People story Vonn said she doesn’t see her age as a disadvantage and called her experience an advantage, adding she likes “breaking records.” Vonn won Olympic gold in 2010 and has two Olympic bronze medals.
