Influencer Dulce Enriquez dies 10 days after vehicle overturns

People reports that Ivonne Enriquez Ramirez, known online as "Dulce Enriquez," died on Jan. 19 at age 20, 10 days after she was involved in an automobile accident.

According to Milenio, Ramirez was traveling at around 8 a.m. on Jan. 9 from a celebration of Santa María Huatulco’s 487th anniversary with the town’s mayor, Julio César Cárdenas Ortega, when their vehicle overturned; 20 Minutos reported the vehicle fell into a ravine approximately 164 feet deep. Ortega later said he was "stable and out of danger." Ramirez maintained a following of more than 122,000 on Instagram, where she shared lifestyle content.

On Jan. 10 Michel, Ramirez’s sister, posted that her sister was "alive and under medical care," and on Jan. 19 she announced her death, writing, "With deeply broken hearts, we share the painful passing of my beloved little sister Sweet Ivonne Enriquez Ramirez." Ortega shared his "most sincere condolences" on Instagram on Jan. 19, and per Michel’s latest Facebook update the family will hold a mass on Jan. 21.
