According to Goal, Sean Dyche lambasted his Nottingham Forest side after they were knocked out of the FA Cup third round by Wrexham at the Racecourse Group, losing 4-3 on penalties.

Forest fell 2-0 behind inside 40 minutes through Liberato Cacace and Oliver Rathbone before Dyche made changes and his team fought back: Igor Jesus reduced the deficit, Dominic Hyam restored Wrexham's two-goal lead on 74 minutes, then Callum Hudson-Odoi scored and equalised in the 89th minute. Extra time produced no goals and former Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo made two saves in the shootout, denying Jesus and Forest’s record signing Omari Hutchinson.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Dyche called the first-half performance "absolutely unacceptable," said he could have taken all of them off at half-time, and praised the substitutes as "a credit" who looked like a Premier League side. He also criticised several starters who had asked for chances but, he said, were not ready in the opening period: "They all knock on your door..."

Forest are 17th in the Premier League, seven points above West Ham after taking three points from them earlier in the week. The cup defeat may be disappointing but could reduce Dyche's fixture load while the club competes in the Europa League, the report added.
