Earth Must Die launched after Valve asked devs to record 'alien orgy' footage
Yesterday, January 27, the comedic sci-fi point-and-click Earth Must Die launched on Steam after Valve temporarily questioned content described as an extra-terrestrial orgy and requested verification footage.
Publisher No More Robots said in a press release that Valve had told them they were 'unable to verify' the context of the alien orgy, and that the studio 'were required to record and send footage of said orgy for their verification.'
The publisher added that the material was ultimately cleared for release, writing, 'Fortunately, the orgy was approved.'
Developed by Size Five Games, Earth Must Die follows VValak Lizardtongue and his trust robot Milky as they defend the Tyrythian Kingdom from invading Terranoids and attempt to destroy Earth. The trailer was described as hilarious and madcap, and the voice cast includes Ben Starr and Mike Wozniak.
Size Five Games previously made Lair of the Clockwork God in 2020, a less risqué point-and-click/platformer. With the verification complete, Earth Must Die is now available on Steam.
