Easy Anti-Cheat coming to Rocket League; Psyonix promises Deck and Linux support
Rocket League, now 11 years old, will implement Easy Anti-Cheat in April as the developer moves to clamp down on cheating. Psyonix said, "Adding Easy Anti-Cheat elevates our ability to detect and ban cheaters in real time, and is part of a broader effort that includes additional bot detection methods, and DDoS attack prevention." Community content such as Steam Workshop maps will remain playable with or without Easy Anti-Cheat enabled, though Psyonix advised keeping it off if you run mods on top of that content.
Specific mods, like the kind used in Rocket League tournaments to aid spectation, will also be able to be used by specific accounts (you can't apply, though—Psyonix will offer the ability to "specific partners" according to its own metrics).
