Eight holiday planning dilemmas and their solutions
Holiday planning can be as simple as scrolling through hotels with sparkling pools and picturing yourself on a soft-sand beach, or it can be a convoluted jigsaw trying to satisfy multiple tastes and expectations. Perhaps that need to cater to diverse interests is why over 80% of us are planning to travel somewhere new this year, according to research conducted by the travel company TUI.
Practical compromises answered some of the trickiest splits: a villa in Pollensa, Mallorca, where cyclists could tackle the Tramuntana climbs and others relax on Puerto Pollensa; a wellness-focused, all-inclusive resort in north St Lucia for a first solo trip after surgery; and a group ski trip in Sauze d’Oulx that let colleagues bond on the pistes while still having freedom at mealtimes.
Families and couples found tailored solutions too.
