The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Coming to Switch 2 in 2026
Nintendo’s latest Direct leaned heavily on older ports and included news that Bethesda’s remaster of the 20-year-old The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion—released elsewhere in April 2025—will arrive on the Switch 2 at some point in 2026. Oblivion Remastered was surprise-announced and released on April 22, 2025, and will join Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition, which reached the Switch 2 in December last year.
The presentation offered no specific release date for the Switch 2 version. The remaster has continued to experience performance problems on PS5 and Xbox nearly a year after release, and developers may be addressing those issues before launching on the less powerful Switch 2; footage shown during the showcase did not always look strong.
