Emberville, a pixel‑art action‑RPG described as sitting between Stardew Valley and Diablo, will head to Steam Early Access sometime in summer 2026, co‑creative director Ben Cassell (AKA CohhCarnage) announced earlier this month in a gameplay walkthrough.

GamesRadar outlines the game’s loop as descending into a procedurally generated dungeon to slay creatures, gather resources and show off combat combos, then returning to the surface to rebuild the ruined titular town.

CohhCarnage also showed the player’s home base, which GamesRadar says looks like a starting Stardew farm with a humble house and a mostly barren field. He explained the area is where you “unleash your creativity,” noting you can customise the home, farm the plot and set up light automation.

IGN reports that Doug Cockle (the Witcher series) and Alex Jordan (Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Baldur’s Gate 3) will have voiced roles in Emberville. The article also says Emberville is due to hit Steam later this year, and developer Cygnus Cross guestimates it will spend about a year in Early Access.

What remains unclear is the exact release date and the definitive length of Early Access: the Steam window is described both as “sometime in summer 2026” in CohhCarnage’s walkthrough and more generally as “later this year” in reporting, while the developer’s one‑year Early Access estimate is presented as a guestimate.
