Indie studio Cygnus Cross this week shared an official announcement trailer for Emberville, a life-sim pitched as a cross between Diablo and Stardew Valley, and says the game is slated to launch in early access this summer, Kotaku reports. The trailer and a press release also unveiled part of the voice cast, including Doug Cockle (best known as Geralt from The Witcher) and Alex Jordan (heard as Mr.

Hands in Cyberpunk 2077); Jordan is serving as the voice director. The team teased it will reveal a 'literal all-star cast' over the next few months. Emberville is set inside a prison-like place called the Vitromotus, which pairs a foggy, desolate town with more traditional dungeon areas built for combat.

The trailer leans into a foreboding tone while showing the town take on a brighter, classic farming-sim atmosphere as players progress. Gameplay mixes life-sim staples—farming, fishing, befriending townspeople and homestead design—with more developed combat: the trailer shows challenging bosses, a dynamic HUD that adapts to encounters, and a skill tree where earned perks can be inherited between classes, emphasizing customization of both home and character.
