Emily Alexandra Diamond and David Thomas Meadows, both avid birders who met on Hinge, were married on Jan. 17, 2026, at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Ms. Diamond, whose favorite bird is the piping plover, took up birding in a high school ornithology class at Phillips Exeter Academy; Mr.

Meadows, who likes the Eastern phoebe, became interested in birds during a 2022 fishing trip in Louisiana. Mr. Meadows, 34, graduated from Samford University and works as a software developer at Stainless; Ms. Diamond, 37, graduated from Bard College and is a senior product manager at Disney Streaming.

The pair met on Hinge in December 2023 after Ms. Diamond spotted birds on the Instagram account linked to Mr. Meadows’s profile. Their first date was at a record bar in Williamsburg before Christmas and included tea at the Three Decker Diner; they birded together soon after, sharing morning outings in Central Park and FaceTime birding while he was away.

Mr. Meadows proposed on June 7, 2025, while hiking the Appalachian Trail outside Pawling, N.Y., with a ring made by fellow birders Parsley Steinweiss and Sue Kovach. The ceremony was led by Luis Mercedes Winter, who had a one-day officiant license, and was attended by 91 guests. The bride wore an ivory A-line silk gown by Sarah Seven and later changed into a column gown by Alexandra Grecco; the groom wore a brown wool Todd Snyder suit.
