England to base World Cup camp in Kansas City, share city with Argentina — Goal

England have chosen Kansas City as their World Cup base and will share the city with defending champions Argentina. The Three Lions will train at Swope Soccer Village, the current home of Sporting Kansas City II; they will not play any group games there but selected the city for its central location.

The training complex is one of Sporting KC’s facilities and hosts the club’s MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT sides. Located in the heart of Swope Park, Swope Soccer Village opened in 2007 and has previously hosted a variety of national and club sides. Kansas City was identified as the preferred location in January 2025 after an extensive search.

England’s group-stage matches are scheduled against Croatia in Dallas on June 17, Ghana in Boston on June 23, and Panama in New York on June 27. Before the tournament the squad will play two friendlies in south Florida, against New Zealand on June 6 and Costa Rica on June 10, with match venues to be confirmed; they will also hold March friendlies at Wembley against Uruguay and Japan.
