Eric Dane seen in a wheelchair at LAX in final photos before his death at 53

Eric Dane was pictured at LAX airport on Nov. 4, operating an electric wheelchair in what would be his final public outing before his death on Thursday. He wore a white T-shirt layered with a black button-down top, gray sweatpants and matching Adidas sneakers, and added a black scarf tied around his neck.

Earlier he was seen on a rare family dinner outing with estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart and daughter Georgia in late October. Dane's family said, "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS," noting he spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, and asking for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.

He announced his ALS diagnosis in April 2025, one month after he and Gayheart called off their divorce in March 2025.
