Euphoria Season 3 trailer reveals five-year jump and Apr. 12 premiere
Sam Levinson's Euphoria has a full trailer for Season 3 and a premiere date: Apr. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. The new season picks up five years after the events of Season 2.
The trailer, and Mashable reporter Belen Edwards, note several developments: Rue Bennett's debt to drug trafficker Laurie has caught up with her and sends her to Mexico; Nate Jacobs and Cassie Howard are engaged and living in the suburbs, with Cassie "making content" implied to be for adult sites like OnlyFans; Jules is attending art school and exploring life as a sugar baby; and Maddy and Lexi are working in Hollywood. Edwards also points to the continuing fallout from Lexi Howard's play, which previously sent shockwaves through East Highland High School.
Edwards wrote that Levinson has struggled to portray sensitive subject matter with nuance in prior seasons of Euphoria and in the first season of The Idol, and asked whether Season 3 will be able to "stick the landing." Season 3 premieres Apr. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.
