The Eurovision Song Contest will mount its first-ever tour in June and July to mark its 70th anniversary, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said, as the competition faces a boycott over Israel’s participation. The EBU said on its website the tour will bring together "iconic Eurovision song contest performers and 2026’s artists", with performers delivering their own contest entries plus cover versions of favourite songs from the contest’s history.

Ten European cities, including London and Paris, will host shows from 15 June to 2 July, after the contest finals in Vienna on 16 May. The contest has been affected by withdrawals over Israel’s war in Gaza. Five countries pulled out, leaving 35 participants — the fewest since the field expanded in 2004.

On Monday a draw placed Israel in the first semi-final on 12 May, starting at 9pm local time. Some nations accused Israel of manipulating public voting in 2025; RTÉ cited "the appalling loss of lives in Gaza and the humanitarian crisis there" as its reason for non-participation. Broadcasters from Spain, Iceland, the Netherlands and Slovenia said in December they were pulling out, the 2024 winner Nemo returned their trophy in protest, and Conchita Wurst announced she would not participate in any future Eurovision events, citing a "personal decision".
