Movieweb reports that John Woo's 1997 action film Face/Off will return to Paramount+ on Feb. 1.

Directed by John Woo and starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, Face/Off opened June 27, 1997, and grossed more than $257 million against an $80-million budget. Also featuring Joan Allen, Gina Gershon, Alessandro Nivola and Dominique Swain, the film — Woo's third English-language picture after Hard Target (1993) and Broken Arrow (1996) — pairs the director's slow‑motion fights and set pieces with an emotional story about a grieving father and the bond between brothers as FBI agent Sean Archer swaps faces with Castor Troy to stop a bomb.

Critics embraced the film, which holds a "Certified Fresh" 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes; Roger Hurlburt compared it to classics such as Seven Samurai, The Wild Bunch and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, while Stephen Hunter called it "almost indefensibly violent." The report says the movie will land on Paramount+ on Feb. 1 and does not provide further distribution details.
