Fallout Season 2 episode 5 features Ghoul's betrayal of Lucy and House reveal

Collider reports that Fallout Season 2 episode 5, "The Wrangler," ends with Walton Goggins' Ghoul betraying Lucy and includes a major reveal of Robert House in the past timeline; the episode also reunites Lucy with her father, Hank.

The episode continues the road‑trip arc in which Lucy and the Ghoul bond, and Goggins said Lucy has affected the Ghoul's morality, calling the change "categorically, yes, absolutely." He described the betrayal as a painful, morally conflicted choice with remorse rather than joy — "This is not something that he's used to having conflict over." Goggins also said Barb and Cooper's relationship deteriorates in the past after he finds out the truth, and that what follows "goes to places" he did not anticipate, adding that "There are no easy answers, and everyone is complicit in the ending of the world."

Goggins spoke about the face‑off with Robert House and praised working with Justin Theroux, saying he expected Theroux to bring something special — "I didn't know it was going to be that."
