Fallout Season 2 Episode 7 Reveals Stephanie’s Past, Shifts Alliances

According to Collider senior editor Ross Bonaime, “The Handoff,” the penultimate episode of Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video, centers on startling revelations about Stephanie Harper and major shifts in alliances that set up next week’s finale. The episode opens with Stephanie’s nightmare/flashback of fleeing the Uranium City internment camp with a woman named Joan, surviving gunfire and a power-armored soldier, and later killing a border guard as she heads into the U.S.

Back in Vault 32, water rationing and mistrust simmer: Overseer Betty Pearson keeps a box of keepsakes for Stephanie, spies on her, and Stephanie faces public exposure at her wedding when Chet reveals she’s 200 years old and Canadian and that Woody’s glasses were found in their sink.

Elsewhere, Norm is repeatedly subdued by other escaped Vault Dwellers after being accused of impersonating higher management, and tries unsuccessfully to reach Lucy by radio. A separate team-up forms as the Ghoul, Maximus, Thaddeus and Dogmeat head toward Lucky 38 to confront Deathclaws and reach Lucy — a journey that hinges on control of a cold fusion device.

The Ghoul insists on taking the cold fusion as part of a transactional plan, unveils old NCR power armor and rigs a return of authority in Freeside that convinces townspeople the NCR has come back.
