Fans spot possible new Arc in Arc Raiders' Shrouded Sky teaser

The Arc Raiders roadmap lists a "new Arc threat" due this month, and players believe the Shrouded Sky teaser posted yesterday may have given a first glimpse of it.

At the nine-second mark a light sits behind some grass and a broken-down car, changing from yellow to red and moving around as if a small robotic creature is scoping the area ahead.

Viewers on Reddit picked up on the movement and offered theories: "The way the light moves makes me think it’s gonna be a fast Arc," one comment reads, with others noting land-based, quick, smooth motion and comparing it to a snake. "If it’s a Boston Dynamics dog Arc then I’m soooo stoked!" a third commenter adds.

The clip prompted comparisons to Black Mirror's "Metalhead", where people are hunted by small dog-like robots, and suggested Arc Raiders is leaning into its horror side. Developers have also said players are killing Queens and Matriarchs too fast because it's "not intended" for entire lobbies to dogpile them.
