Final Doomsday Trailer Unites Wakanda and the Fantastic Four
Collider reports the final theatrical trailer for Avengers: Doomsday shows Wakandans and the Fantastic Four joining forces, introducing Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and adding levity to the multiversal setup. The fourth of four teasers, rolled out weekly ahead of screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash and released online after its theatrical debut, opens on Shuri (Letitia Wright) taking the mantle of Black Panther; she says, "a king has his duties to prepare our people for the afterlife.
I have mine." The footage shows an alliance with Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Talokan, and includes M'Baku (Winston Duke) introducing himself to The Thing before the hero responds, "Ben, Yancy Street, between Broome and Grand." The clip also links The Fantastic Four: First Steps' timeline more officially with the main MCU after Doom poked in the crib of Reed Richards and Sue Storm's baby Franklin.
Details remain largely under wraps, with Doomsday described as a multiversal epic bringing together recent teams like The Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts/New Avengers alongside older X-Men. Stephen McFeely returned to pen both Doomsday and its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, without his usual writing partner Christopher Markus, and the original Avengers are still positioned to play major roles.
