Final trailer released for Greenland 2: Migration starring Gerard Butler

Collider reports Lionsgate has released the final trailer for Greenland 2: Migration, Gerard Butler's action sequel, which will be released in theaters this Friday.

Butler returns as John Garrity and Morena Baccarin reprises her role as his wife, Allison Garrity. The film is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and runs 98 minutes; other credited performers include William Abadie and Tommie Earl Jenkins. The first Greenland grossed over $50 million at the box office.

Early screenings begin Thursday, and the film will premiere in theaters around the world on Friday, January 9, 2026. The sequel will look to improve on the original's box office trend by starting the year strong for Lionsgate.
