Fish locations in Heartopia

Fishing in Heartopia is a lucrative hobby: you can sell the fish you catch or cook them first for greater profit. As you raise your fishing level, more species appear around the island and new passive abilities become available. To fish, approach a fish-shaped shadow, cast your line onto it, hold the button to reel and release when the line flashes red, then resume reeling until the fish is caught.

You can adjust cast distance by dragging outward or forward when tapping or clicking the fish button for more accurate aim. Bait (made from three apples or bought from Vanya) helps spawn fish quickly; at level four you can buy Mermaid Fish Attractors and at level six Mermaid Perfume, which skips the reeling minigame.

Many later fish only appear under specific times, weather, when using attractors, or during the Sea Fishing event. The current fishing level cap is 14.
