At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, ZDNET’s team went hands-on with dozens of new televisions and highlighted five models to watch this year, including offerings from TCL, Samsung, LG, Hisense and an updated Samsung portable. TCL’s X11L combines Micro RGB and SQD Mini LED technology and claims up to 100% of the BT2020 color spectrum, 20,000 dimming zones, and a peak brightness of 10,000 nits.

It also features a built-in Bang & Olufsen soundbar and supports Dolby Atmos. Samsung showed a massive 130-inch Micro RGB display at its First Look event; the company said the model is "more of a concept" to showcase possibilities and noted it shares the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro processor and glare-free treatment with smaller variants, while technical details remain scarce.

Hisense’s 163MX uses a four-color MicroLED panel that adds yellow to produce up to 100% of BT2020, measures 32mm in width for zero-gap wall mounting, and has 33.17 million subpixels, the company said. LG’s W6 Wallpaper OLED measures 9mm thick by moving many components into a wireless Zero Connect Box and offers a 165Hz refresh rate, 0.1ms response time, Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium VRR support, and the A11 AI Processor Gen 3 with support for Gemini and Copilot.

Samsung’s Movingstyle is a 27-inch touchscreen portable with HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite, a rolling and detachable design and a three-hour battery life.
