Four games free on Steam for a few days
Steam is offering four games free to play for a limited time: Arabian Gulf, XCOM 2, Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss and Hellcard. Arabian Gulf is a survival game set in a desert where players scavenge levels for treasure and face "intense combat" against zombie-like enemies.
A few Steam reviews don't paint the prettiest picture, but the game is free until Sunday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. EST. XCOM 2 is free to play until Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. EST. You'll lead a military resistance force in turn-based battles against alien invaders and try to keep soldiers alive, who can be permanently killed; the game is discounted to $2.99 until Feb.
19 if you want to keep it. Also available is Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss, a VR strategic MOBA free until Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. EST, featuring "real-time, hex-based tactile battles" that can be played competitively or against the game's AI.
