Gamesradar reports that Divinity: Original Sin 2 offers several distinct ways to escape Fort Joy, including the Path of Greatest Resistance, the Path of the Soul, the Path of Common Knowledge, the Teleporter Gloves route (Leaving Hand in Hand), or simply forcing your way out through the main gate.

Each route follows its own questline: the Path of Common Knowledge has you rescue the elf Amyro from Griff and use a tunnel through the Caverns to the cell block; the Path of the Soul requires freeing Lord Withermoore, breaking his soul jar and then using a sewer exit near Kniles; the Path of Greatest Resistance involves aiding the undead Migo, obtaining keys and a password and then leaving by boat with Han; and the Teleporter Gloves quest has you recover gloves from saltwater crocodiles to teleport to the Harbor.

Many of these methods converge on the fort’s main building and a sewer in Kniles’ workshop that leads to the marshes, and once you leave Fort Joy for the first time all Magisters become permanently aggressive (you can return by fast travel but they will attack). The gloves route places you in the Harbor where you will likely have to fight Magisters before reaching the beaches and gaining access to Reaper's Eye.
