Free Kanto Region Badge set with Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise Lego preorder

Lego is offering the Kanto Region Badge Collection as a free gift with preorders of its new Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set, while supplies last.

The Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set is listed at $649.99, and buyers who purchase it before March 3 will receive the Kanto Region Badge Collection free. The bonus set is 312 pieces, recommended for ages 18 and up, and houses all eight first-generation Kanto region badges.

Mashable noted that the new Pokémon Lego sets are available to pre-order — Pikachu and Poké Ball is listed at $199.99 and Eevee at $59.99 — and will release on Feb. 27. At this early stage the outlet said preorders do not have discounts, so free gifts are the main incentive.

Mashable said it is not clear whether the free badge collection will persuade shoppers to spend over $600 on the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set, and it emphasized the March 3 deadline and limited supply, urging buyers to act fast to secure the free gift.
