Full trailer released for The Mandalorian and Grogu movie
After a Super Bowl commercial that celebrated ads more than the film, Disney has released a full trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The footage leans into familiar Star Wars imagery: an X-Wing flying against a sunset, cockpit buttons and lever-pulling, and the franchise’s classic overtures. It frames Mando on a bounty mission to find a specific Hutt — a gangster who appears allied with the Empire and could spark another war.
Jon Favreau directs and co-wrote the movie with Dave Filoni. The cast includes Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, Sigourney Weaver as Ward, and Jonny Coyne as an Imperial Warlord, with Ludwig Göransson returning to score the film sequel to the Disney Plus series.
The Mandalorian debuted in 2019 and follows a lone bounty hunter protecting a Force-sensitive child known as Grogu. The series streams on Disney Plus and currently has three seasons; former star Katy O’Brien has said there is no news of a fourth. The movie hits theaters on May 22.
