Gayle King chokes up on air over Savannah Guthrie's missing mom
According to Pagesix, Gayle King became emotional on CBS Mornings while reporting on Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, opening the show by discussing Savannah’s Instagram video in which she and her siblings begged for Nancy’s safe return. King called the case "an unimaginable situation" for the Guthrie family, teared up as she referenced Savannah saying "mommy" in the video, and described the disappearance as "so frightening and so disturbing," saying, "Your heart can’t help but break for her." Nancy was reported missing after failing to show up at church; the last known sighting was after dinner with daughter Annie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Nancy’s home was being treated as a crime scene and she may have been abducted, and photos of the home showed an apparent trail of blood.
