Cbssports reports the New York Giants are working to finalize an agreement with former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh to be their next coach, though ESPN says the deal is not complete and contract numbers remain under negotiation.

Harbaugh was fired by the Ravens on Jan. 6 after Baltimore's season-ending loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers; he went 180-113 in 18 seasons, won Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and was named Coach of the Year in 2019. While he won 10 playoff games in his first seven seasons, he had just three postseason wins over the last 11 years, and ESPN reported his agent said he received calls from seven teams 45 minutes after the firing. Harbaugh formally interviewed with the Giants on Wednesday with owners John Mara and Steve Tisch reportedly in attendance, along with quarterback Jaxson Dart, per NFL Media.

Harbaugh would be set to replace Brian Daboll, who went 20-40-1 in four seasons and was fired 10 games into the 2025 season. The Giants have struggled since Tom Coughlin resigned after the 2015 season, posting a 55-109-1 record in the 10 seasons since, but the team still owns the No. 5 pick in the 2026 draft and has players such as Dart, running back Cam Skattebo, wideout Malik Nabers and defensive linemen Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence II and Abdul Carter. The deal is not finalized and contract terms are still being negotiated.
