The Golden Globes are often described by attendees as a party. At the 83rd annual awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday, many white gowns and dark tuxedos on the red carpet gave the star-studded affair a weddinglike feel, The Styles Desk reported. Dresses that skewed bridal were worn by Amanda Seyfried, Brittany Snow, Claire Danes, Emily Blunt, Jean Smart and Zoey Deutch.

Wunmi Mosaku and Hailee Steinfeld, both pregnant, wore gowns that highlighted their bumps and were likened to arrivals at a glamorous baby shower. Recurring flourishes on the carpet included bows, stoles and sunglasses, and attendees were invited to wear pins as part of a campaign backed by the American Civil Liberties Union in honor of Renee Good, who was killed by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis last week.

The Styles Desk singled out 15 memorable looks. Highlights included Jennifer Lawrence in a sheer floral-embroidered Givenchy number, Teyana Taylor in a draped Schiaparelli gown with a scarflike component and cutouts, Jessie Buckley in a Dior dress compared to fine china, and Connor Storrie in a Saint Laurent tuxedo.
