The Golden Globes will be held Sunday at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills and broadcast on CBS or streamed on Paramount+ Premium, and the ceremony is expected to be dominated by Paul Thomas Anderson’s "One Battle After Another," The New York Times' awards columnist Kyle Buchanan wrote.

Buchanan noted that "One Battle After Another" leads the Golden Globe nominations with nine and took top honors at the Critics Choice Awards last weekend, making a win in the best musical or comedy category all but certain. In the dramatic categories, Ryan Coogler’s vampire film "Sinners" could have a big night but faces competition from the period drama "Hamnet" and the Norwegian family tale "Sentimental Value," which had the second-highest nominations with eight.

The comedian Nikki Glaser will return as host for a second time. Buchanan recalled that previous hosts set a high bar and that Glaser’s jabs last year left some in the room bristling; he suggested stars may be more willing to play along now that she is a familiar presence and that she may deliver at least one zinger about the gay romance "Heated Rivalry," whose leads will be presenting.
