People across Greenland have reacted with “shock, anger, confusion and fear” to President Trump’s interest in buying or taking over the autonomous Danish territory, residents and reporting from Nuuk say. Senior Greenlandic officials voiced strong opposition. Pipaluk Lynge, leader of the Parliament’s foreign and security policy committee, said, “We’re not going to sell our soul.

Trump vowed to “do something on Greenland, whether they like it or not.” Some Greenlanders have proposed options such as free association with the United States, but Ms.
