Eric Dane, who played Mark “McSteamy” Sloan for seven seasons on Grey’s Anatomy, died Thursday at 53 after a battle with ALS. He first joined the show in Season 3 in 2006 and remained a regular through the start of Season 9 in 2012, later returning for a cameo in Season 17.
