Guardian seeks readers' tips on life-changing holidays in UK and Europe
The Guardian Travel section is inviting readers to share tips about life-changing holidays and adventures in the UK and Europe.
Suggested examples include wellbeing retreats, learning or yoga holidays, trying fishing or sailing for the first time, or long-distance hikes and kayaking adventures; contributors are asked to explain what they did and why it was special.
The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, wins a £200 voucher to stay at a Coolstays property (the company says it has more than 3,000 worldwide), and selected tips will appear in the Guardian Travel section and on the website. Tips should be about 100 words and a photo may be included, though the words will be judged.
The competition is open only to UK residents aged 18 or over and closes on Monday 12 January 2026 at 10am GMT. Entries must be submitted via the Guardian’s encrypted form, can be anonymous if desired, should include location, price and website where relevant, and the Guardian says it will delete personal data when no longer required.
