Movieweb reports Guy Ritchie's In the Grey, starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, has been dated for Apr. 10, 2026.

The film, written and directed by Ritchie, follows a covert team of elite operatives sent to recover a billion-dollar fortune stolen by a ruthless despot; what begins as an impossible heist spirals into an all-out war of strategy, deception, and survival. The cast also includes Eiza Gonzalez, Kristofer Hivju, Fisher Stevens and Rosamund Pike.

The movie was originally slated for release in January 2025 but was removed from schedules late in 2024, with Lionsgate saying the film was "not quite ready." Some suggested the delay was linked to Ritchie and Cavill's previous collaboration underperforming at the box office, though that film later found an audience on streaming. Benjamin Kramer, President of U.S. Distribution for Black Bear, praised Ritchie's trademark style and wit and thanked Lionsgate for its flexibility and collaboration in bringing the film to audiences.

Both Ritchie and Cavill remain busy: Ritchie recently released the Apple TV movie Fountain of Youth and has projects including Wife & Dog, the TV shows Mobland, The Gentlemen, and Young Sherlock, and the documentaries The Diamond Heist and Gracie, while Cavill has a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine and upcoming projects such as Enola Holmes 3, Voltron, a Highlander remake, and a Warhammer 40,000 series for Prime Video.
