Halle Berry Confirms Engagement to Van Hunt
Halle Berry confirmed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that she had accepted a proposal from musician Van Hunt after nearly six years together, saying, "Of course, I said 'yes.'" She had appeared to be wearing the ring at a London screening of her film "Crime 101" on Jan.
28 and later during a talk at SiriusXM Studios in New York on Feb. 3; an Instagram clip from her Fallon interview, in which she points to the ring, drew congratulatory messages. Although the ring's designer remains unknown, jewelers described a diamond set on a gold band surrounded by dark stones as vintage-inspired.
Lauren Grunstein estimated a one- to one-and-a-half-carat European-cut diamond, flanked by what appear to be dark blue sapphires or possibly onyx and set in 18-carat yellow gold, and said it "evokes the same sentiment" as other vintage-style celebrity rings. Philip J.
