Hamnet Debuts on Digital at No. 5, Can't Top Greenland 2 on iTunes
Chloé Zhao's Hamnet arrived on digital on February 3 and finished fifth on iTunes on its first day, but it could not displace the Gerard Butler-led Greenland 2: Migration, which remained at number three.
Hamnet has gathered awards momentum after Jessie Buckley's Golden Globe win and is considered a favorite for Best Actress; the film has earned $58 million worldwide, split between $20 million domestically and $38 million overseas, and was tenth in the most recent domestic weekend box office.
Greenland 2 has grossed just over $20 million worldwide against a reported $90 million budget and sits third on the iTunes charts. Collider's Ross Bonaime called Hamnet "one of the year's best movies." Hamnet is available in theaters and on digital.
