Hana Kurusu’s Angel power could change the Culling Game in Jujutsu Kaisen season 3

Polygon reports that Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 introduces Hana Kurusu, also known as Angel, a sorcerer whose abilities are presented as a potential wildcard in the Culling Game.

Episode 3 explains that Tengen names Hana as a participant and describes her ability to “extinguish” other cursed techniques, referred to as Technique Extinguishment, which can potentially revert incantations to a previous state. The episode also reveals that Hana shares her body with a Heian-era sorcerer called Angel and uses that entity’s jujutsu, including a light-based attack labeled Maximum Output: Jacob's Ladder.

The show signals Hana’s importance by suggesting her Technique Extinguishment might be the only way to free Satoru Gojo, who is sealed in the Prison Realm, while noting that Tengen cannot directly intervene and only offers a rough idea of her whereabouts. Episode 3 also introduces allies and new figures — such as Kinji Hakari and Fumihiko Takaba — and the season will show Hana’s strategies in a fight against Sukuna at Tokyo No. 1 Colony; new episodes release every Thursday on Crunchyroll.
