Hands on: Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike swaps switches for haptics
Tucked away in Lausanne, Logitech has reworked the gaming mouse click by removing traditional main switches in favor of HITS — a Haptic Inductive Trigger System. The setup pairs an inductive electromagnetic sensor on the main board with a trigger plate and an actuator, delivering near-instantaneous registration and tactile feedback through vibration rather than a mechanical snap.
Out of the box the sensation is closer to a short, silent mechanical click, and G Hub lets you tune the strength of that vibration. The electromagnetic sensor enables different actuation points, from an ultra-sensitive setting that triggers at about the thickness of a hair to deeper actuation that needs more force, all inside a chassis similar to the G Pro X Superlight 2.
Logitech also adds a rapid trigger reset adjustable across five levels to speed up repeat presses, and the package includes 8,000Hz polling.
