Hayden Christensen says Robert De Niro visited Revenge of the Sith set
Movieweb reports Hayden Christensen recalled that Robert De Niro dropped by the set of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith while Christensen was preparing for the film's final lightsaber duel with Ewan McGregor.
Per the report by GamesRadar+, Christensen said De Niro showed up "just because he wanted to come see what George [Lucas] was doing." He described standing with McGregor, recognizing De Niro, and noted that De Niro was "very friendly." Christensen added that he would do push-ups before takes to raise his heart rate, and that De Niro told him, "You know, I see you doing push-ups before the takes. I do that, too."
Christensen's most recent Star Wars appearance was in the Disney+ series Ahsoka, where he returned as Anakin Skywalker in Force-ghost form. Season 2, which is in development, will also feature him; Christensen said he was "blown away" by the scripts, was "thrilled" to be asked by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau to return, and called the fan support "just amazing."
