Hayes names NWSL-only USWNT January camp roster with Trinity Rodman return
Goal reported that U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Emma Hayes has named an NWSL-exclusive January camp roster that features the return of Trinity Rodman, four uncapped call-ups and multiple players from the 2025 Futures Camp. The camp comes with matches attached — raising the stakes as 2027 World Cup qualification looms — and several regulars are unavailable because of the FIFA window or club commitments, including players from Gotham FC.
Of the 26 players named, eight were part of the 2025 Futures Camp: Jordyn Bugg, Gisele Thompson, Claire Hutton, Riley Jackson, Maddie Dahlien, Jameese Joseph, Avery Patterson and Reilyn Turner. Rodman leads the roster with 47 caps and 11 international goals, is listed as “unattached,” has an ongoing back issue and is a free agent reportedly gauging overseas interest; Hayes said she will trust a player’s assessment of their own readiness and added, “my job is to develop more leaders.” Hayes identified Claudia Dickey and Phallon Tullis-Joyce as her top goalkeeper options, noting Tullis-Joyce cannot join this camp due to Manchester United commitments; Dickey, Mandy McGlynn and Jordan Silkowitz are in camp and together have 10 international caps (Dickey six, McGlynn four, Silkowitz uncapped).
The squad also reflects increased competition at No. 10 — with Croix Bethune, Riley Jackson and Lo’eau LaBonta included while several usual No.
