Hayes names USWNT SheBelieves Cup roster; Macario omitted

Emma Hayes named a 26-player U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup. Trinity Rodman headlines the group following her return for friendlies and her historic contract extension with the Washington Spirit just a month ago. The squad includes nearly all U.S.-based players abroad; Chelsea forward Catarina Macario is the lone notable omission and there are no uncapped players.

The roster features 23 field players and three goalkeepers, with 19 NWSL players represented. Gotham FC leads all clubs with four selections — Jaedyn Shaw, Emily Sonnett, Rose Lavelle and Lily Reale. Seven players are currently based in Europe; Alyssa Thompson and Naomi Girma are among those named, and six of the seven overseas players are competing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

This is the first time in more than a year Hayes has selected a fully capped squad, with every player having earned at least one cap under her.
