HBO confirms The White Lotus Season 4 cast with Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan
HBO has officially announced the cast for The White Lotus Season 4, naming Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina and AJ Michalka. Season 4 is reported to take place in France, with locations ranging from Paris to the French Riviera.
Series creator Mike White returns as writer, director and executive producer, while character details are being kept under wraps. Both Bonham Carter and Messina had been the subject of prior casting rumors; this announcement is the first confirmation of their involvement. Variety reports the season will mark Marissa Long’s television debut.
Helena Bonham Carter’s credits include Fight Club, Cinderella and Ocean’s 8, and she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for The King’s Speech; she’s also known for Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter films and several collaborations with Tim Burton, including Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Chris Messina is best known for The Mindy Project and films such as Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Birds of Prey and Air. Steve Coogan is described as a six-time BAFTA winner and two-time Academy Award nominee, known for his television series I Am Alan Patridgride and films including Philomena, Tropic Thunder, Night at the Museum and Stan & Ollie.
