Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie to Host SNL Feb. 28; Mumford & Sons Will Perform
SNL announced during Alexander Skarsgård’s January 31 episode that Connor Storrie will host the first Season 51 show following the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics — the Games run Feb. 6-22 on NBC and Peacock and Storrie’s episode is set for Feb. 28. Storrie stars in the Canadian romance drama Heated Rivalry as Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov, a series that follows a secret relationship with Canadian player Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and has "taken the world by storm," skyrocketing both actors to fame, NBC Insider reported.
Storrie has appeared in Tiny Beautiful Things and Joker: Folie à Deux, but Heated Rivalry is described as his first major role; he told Seth Meyers the show connects with audiences’ ideas of "love and what's expected of you," and that he felt "really really honored" after years working in restaurants before the breakout.
The musical guest for Storrie’s episode will be Mumford & Sons. NBC Insider notes the folk rock band has headlined SNL three times since 2012, last appearing during Jason Momoa’s Season 44 episode, and that lead singer Marcus Mumford cameoed in 2021; their sixth album Prizefighter is due Feb.
20. It’s unclear whether co-star Hudson Williams will appear on the Feb.
