Helldivers 2 Cyborgs post propaganda reworking intro into plea for robot children
In a report from Gamesradar, coded messages in 1s and 0s have appeared across Helldivers Twitter and Discord, translating into Swedish statements of peace and cries for mercy and accompanied by a video that reimagines the game's intro as a plea to save robot children.
One translation attached to the posts reads "THINK IF THE ROLES WERE REVERSED. THINK IF YOU WERE IN OUR PLACE." The posts include binary text and video material that cast the Helldivers as aggressors and the machines as victims.
Another message says "WE CALL ON YOU, CITIZENS, DO NOT LET THE HELLDIVERS REACH CYBERSTAN. TELL YOUR LEADERS TO STOP THIS MINDLESS WAR." The activity has been interpreted as teasing the arrival of a new Cyborg faction ahead of any official introduction.
