Here’s What Time the 2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony Begins
After not one but two spectacular Opening Ceremonies in Milan and Cortina, attention now turns to Verona, Italy’s “City of Love,” where the Closing Ceremony will be staged at the Arena di Verona, a World Heritage Site. The 2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony kicks off at 2:30 p.m.
ET on Sunday, February 22, with coverage airing live on NBC and Peacock. It is expected to run just over two hours, according to the official ticket website. Under the theme “Beauty in Action,” the program will blend opera, music, dance, cinema, design and technology and will include a performance from acclaimed international ballet dancer Roberto Bolle.
The show is billed as a celebration of athletic excellence alongside Italian cultural identity and innovation. The ceremony will feature the traditional handover to the host region of the 2030 Winter Games, the French Alps, and will conclude with the extinguishing of the Olympic flame.
